New York-based writer-director Stephan Wever began his career as an editor in documentary and fiction, and directs branded work for clients including Adidas, Audi, Beats, BMW, Lamborghini, LVMH, Mazda, Nike, Porsche, Sony, Squarespace, Toyota, and Ubisoft.
His narrative projects include Sky King, based on the true story of Richard Russell and the plane theft that stunned the public, and Keep It Simple Stupid, a grounded drama that humanizes the military-industrial complex of the 70s and ’80s. He is also developing JOLLY, a character-driven drama about psychiatrist Louis Jolyon West and his covert MKUltra research, and 1986, set during the final year of Group B rally racing. He is currently adapting Norman Mailer’s Why Are We in Vietnam?.
